pleasure to provide safe and enjoyable experiences for many disabled travelers and their companions. However the time for a change has come…
As many of you know for the last nine months we’ve been attempting to get a new wheelchair van into Costa Rica without having to pay
the 55% import tax. Thank you for your letters of support and concern. Numerous attempts to the government agencies and officials have
been made to obtain a special exoneration to no avail.
It now appears that the place to be is PANAMA. The government and the Panamanian people are very receptive and co-operative for
this project. The doors are open and opportunities are very positive. We have established a "Sociedad Anonima" (corporation) called
Vaya con Silla de Ruedas, S.A. in Panama and obtained the vehicle registration and license plate. We look forward to seeing and serving you in the upcoming season 2011-12.
During this transition we'll continue to provide our paratransit tour services in Costa Rica through 2011 on a very limited
basis. Please contact us or our representatives.

Vaya con Silla de Ruedas
The name of our company literally translated means "Go
with Wheelchairs."
Our purpose is to provide wheelchair travelers a safe, reliable
and enjoyable means of seeing and experiencing Costa Rica. This
is an important and greatly needed service that has not been
offered before.

Vaya con Silla de Ruedas is the first company to provide transportation
exclusively for wheelchair travelers in Costa Rica.
We are dedicated to the belief that people with wheelchairs
can be transported anywhere that our vehicle can take them.
This is accomplished by practicing the highest safety standards
using a van equipped with a Ricon elevator and ADA approved safety
equipment.
The full- size van has up to three wheelchair stations and
is fully insured by the Costa Rican INS (government owned). Comfort
is equally a major concern, and our vehicle is totally air-conditioned
for you. We also provide friendly, courteous and knowledgeable
English speaking guides.
We also provide regular transportation
for ambulatory travelers upon request.
